When will the conference take place? Where is it located?

The 4th International Expressive Arts Therapy and Coaching Conference will take place from 12th till 14th of October 2018 in Zagreb, Croatia. The venue of the Conference is the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Zagreb, located at the address Ilica 85.

SUBMISSIONS

What kind of submissions are accepted for the Conference?

If you wish to enrich this year’s Conference by holding a workshop, giving a lecture or a presentation, doing a performance or making an exhibition, you are more than welcome to submit your proposal!

When is the deadline for submissions?

The deadline for submitting your proposal is July 2nd 2018.

May I submit more than one proposal?

Yes, you may submit as many proposals as you wish.

What is the selection procedure for the submissions?

All submissions will be read and selected by the Organising Program Team and Dr. Avi Goren-Bar. You will receive feedback for your proposal by the date of September 11th 2018.

When will I know if my submission has been accepted?

You will receive feedback for your proposal until 11th of September 2018.

If my proposal for leading a workshop or giving a lecture is accepted, what is the latest date when I can opt out of doing it?

If you decide to opt out of doing your lecture or workshop, please do it latest by September 20th 2018, so we can have time to find a replacement.

Do I have to present a lecture or lead a workshop in order to attend the Conference?

Absolutely not! Everyone who is interested is welcome to attend the Conference.

I am not an artist nor a therapist; can I attend the conference?

Absolutely YES! The conference is open to all who are interested, everyone is welcome!

What is the registration fee and what is the payment procedure?

The registration fee, for the early bird registration (till the 31st of July 2018) is: 2 days €110, 3 days €140.
After the 31st of July 2018, the price is: 2 days €140, 3 days €180

Can I get a discount for registering early?

Yes!

I want to attend only one day of the Conference, is that possible?

No, unfortunately single-day registration is not permitted. To encourage sufficient audience attendance for all presentations/workshops and foster a genuine interdisciplinary community, all attendees must register for a minimum of 2 days or the entire Conference.

I just want to attend one session. It it possible without registering for the Conference?

Is there a registration deadline for attending the Conference?

No, there is no registration deadline.
You can register even on the first day of the Conference.

I am no longer able to attend the conference, and I already paid. Is there a refund possibility?

For cancellations until the 12th of September 2018, 70% of the total amount will be refunded.
For cancellations after the 12th of September 2018, no refund will be made.

What is the cancellation policy for the conference?

To cancel the registration, a written cancellation request must be submitted to the Organising team via official Conference e-mail (info@communityasart.com).

When and where can I register for specific lectures and workshop I want to attend?

You can register for specific workshops and lectures at the Registration desk on Friday 10 – 12 h, Saturday 9 – 10 h and Sunday 9 – 9:30 h.

Can I substitute/trasfer someone else to attend the Conference?

No, you cannot substitute nor transfer somebody else to attend the Conference.
Conference registration is non-transferable.

TRAVEL

How can I get to the conference venue?

If you are arriving to Zagreb by plane, you can use the Airport Shuttle “Pleso prijevoz” operating between the Airport and the Zagreb Central Bus Station (Autobusni kolodvor). During the day departures are usually scheduled every 30 minutes.

OTHER

Will I receive Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours for attending the Conference?

On the last day of the Conference, you will receive the Attendance Certificate.
With this Certificate, you can submit your hours of attendence to you competent Chamber in your country.

Will there be translation?

The Conference official language is English, so all workshops and lectures will be held in English language, without translation.
If your understanding of English is not very good, please reach out to other Conference participants to find a person who speaks your native language and who might help you by translating.

Will there be conference-related out-of-conference activities?

Yes, there will be various additional coming-together activities that you can opt for and thus connect to other participants of the conference in a relaxed, fun and friendly way.
Some of those are: Magical Zagreb tour on the 1st evening of the Conference, community concert and party in the park on the 2nd evening of the Conference, and the opportunity for chilling in the cozy room during all three Conference days.

What services are available for special needs and requests?

The entrance to the venue is wheelchair-accessible; however, the upper floors unfortunately are not.

Can I take pictures during the Conference?

Taking pictures during the Conference is allowed during breaks and during lectures.
There will be an official Conference photographer who will take pictures during breaks and leisure times of the Conference.
Taking pictures during workshops is NOT allowed.
However, workshop facilitators might ask the group for consent for taking photos, and the group members then will decide if they want to allow it.

Can I bring my child/children to the Conference?

The Conference is an adult-only event, so unfortunately children cannot attend it. If you will need child-sitting services, however, we can help you find them. Contact us at info@communityasart.com
